Partner Agencies


United Way of Norman funds non-profit partner agencies in the Norman community that provide vital services. These agencies' programs are divided into three impact areas: education, financial stability, and health. The current United Way of Norman partner agencies are listed below. Designation codes are in parenthesis after the organization's name. These codes can be used if you want to donate to the United Way and designate your funds to go to a specific agency. 


Big Brothers Big Sisters (7104)

One-to-One Mentoring
Provides one-on-one positive adult role models through a community-based and school-based mentoring program.

Bridges (7137)

Student Essential Needs
Provides high school students who are living on their own with access to housing and basic services so they can graduate high school.

Center for Children and Families, Inc. (7113)

Bringing Up Babies
Offers home visitation services to pregnant and parenting individuals, including teen parents, to create healthy and stimulating home environments. Home visits provide education and support centered around pregnancy, child development, and positive parenting practices.

Crossroads Youth & Family Services (7169)

Counseling and Emergency Youth Shelter
Provides emergency shelter for youth that has been abused, neglected, and abandoned.

Girl Scouts (7135)

Operation Troop Reboot
Supports efforts to rebuild Norman-area Girl Scout membership. Membership scholarships will help remove financial barriers to membership.

Provides vocational services to adults with developmental disabilities.

Catholic Charities (7106)

Sanctuary Women’s Development Center
Offers homeless and low-income women and children resources, support, and case management to alleviate the effects of poverty and empower them to overcome homelessness.

Food and Shelter, Inc. (7122)

Food & Outreach
Provides hot meals, laundry facilities, and showers to economically-disadvantaged persons. Also provides phone and internet access to assist with employment and housing searches.

Legal Aid (7109)

Legal Aid to Low-Income Individuals
Provides free, high-quality civil legal services to low-income and elderly people.

The Salvation Army (7117)

Emergency Shelter
Provides emergency shelter to the homeless.

Social Services
Provides social service assistance to people in poverty to help them transition to a more secure environment.

Thunderbird Clubhouse (7136)

Building Financial Wellness
Provides financial education and matched savings to clubhouse members.

Provides a safe and friendly place for adults with special needs who are limited in their access to the community.

Outreach & Prevention
Facilitates presentations to demonstrate ways to prevent child abuse and teach children how to protect themselves.

Therapeutic Counseling
Provides therapeutic counseling and treatment services for sexually abused children and their non-offending caregivers.

The Spot - Non-Residential Student Support
The Spot is a day center that provides teens with support, purpose, and opportunity so they can thrive.

Center for Children and Families, Inc. (CCFI) (7113)

Boys and Girls Club
Provides enrichment opportunities for Norman Public School students (ages 6-18) centered on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character and leadership development. After-school programming is designed to provide resource connections for families and opportunities for improved social skills, self-esteem, and child development.

Healing and Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect
Counseling and family therapy services for children (ages 0-17) are provided to support healing from complex trauma. Provides support, education, and case management for biological, foster, and adoptive parents and other caregivers to address the effects of child abuse and neglect to ensure children’s future safety and well-being.

Fostering Futures (7168)

Foster Care Basic Needs
Provides basic needs and assists foster children and families with gap services like beds, emergency food, and utility assistance.

Full Circle (7133)

DHS Scholarship Program
Assists families by providing activities, meals, and health monitoring for their elderly loved ones in order to prevent nursing home placement.

Kaleidoscope (7167)

Grief Counseling and Support
Provides support groups for children and their families who have experienced the death of a family member.

Mary Abbott Children’s House (7134)

Medical Assessment
Offers coordinated investigation and intervention services to child abuse victims in a child-friendly environment.

Meals on Wheels (7114)

Meal Delivery
Provides hot, nutritious, home-delivered meals to Norman’s senior, disabled or ill residents who are in need.

South Central CASA of Oklahoma (7121)

Court Appointed Special Advocates
Trains and supervises community volunteers who act as advocates for abused and neglected children who are wards of the juvenile court.

Transition House (7118)

Community Outreach
Provides ongoing socialization opportunities, support, and crisis intervention for individuals with mental illness.

Transitional Living
Provides intensive case management services and support including education, linkage to benefits, and support to assist individuals with mental illness as they transition from in-patient settings to community living.


Variety Care (7108)

Dental Program
Provides dental care, education, and referrals to the underserved in the Norman area.

Medical Program
Provides routine medical services, urgent care medical services, and health education to low-income and uninsured individuals.

The Virtue Center (7111)

Adult and Family Addiction Treatment and Education
Assesses and addresses the needs of individuals with substance abuse problems through counseling, education, family services, and case management.

Adolescent Addiction and Treatment
Addresses the individual needs of adolescents with substance abuse problems through counseling, education, case management, and intervention.

Women’s Resource Center (7120)

Family Violence Shelter
Shelters people impacted by domestic violence. Provides meals, clothing, counseling, support, and referral information.

Rape Crisis Center
Provides for the needs of rape victims in a safe environment.
