Day of Caring | United Way of Norman

Presented by Hitachi Vantara Manufacturing

This annual, one-day event is organized by the United Way of Norman and presented by Hitachi Vantara Manufacturing. It provides an opportunity for businesses and organizations to volunteer with nonprofit agencies, donating their time and talents to service projects across the community. The day kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at Life Church with breakfast and a little inspiration.

Day of Caring 2026

This year's date for Day of Caring is September 11, 2026.

Your organization can get involved in one of two ways:

As a nonprofit organization that needs volunteers to work on a project
As a company that wants to send volunteers out to work on a project

Day of Caring Coordinator

We ask all companies and agencies participating in Day of Caring to designate a coordinator for your volunteer team or project. This person will be the point of contact for all information about Day of Caring from United Way of Norman. Please fill out the form below if you are coordinating a volunteer team or agency project.

Is your company signing employees to volunteer to work on Day of Caring? If so, this form is for you.

Please make sure someone from your team is designated as the Day of Caring Coordinator and has completed the Coordinator Form.

Please have ALL your company volunteers fully complete the registration form. If they have a special talent, please include that so we can match accordingly. Please stress to your team that even though they may have volunteered in the past, we still need this year’s form completed. This allows us to order the correct number of lunches and shirts.
