Volunteer Registration Forms (Companies Only)

DEADLINE: August 4, 2026

Is your company signing employees to volunteer to work on Day of Caring? If so, this form is for you.

You can find the Volunteer Registration Form here- https://www.unitedwaynorman.org/DOCVolunteerForm
This form opens June 1.

Please have ALL your company volunteers fully complete the registration form. If they have a special talent, please include that so we can match accordingly. Please stress to your team that even though they may have volunteered in the past, we still need this year’s form completed. Let us know if you need physical forms, and we will email them to you.

Agency Project Forms (Agencies Only)

DEADLINE: July 11, 2026

Is your agency looking for volunteers to complete projects at your location on Day of Caring? If so, this form is for you.

You can find the Agency Project Form here- https://www.unitedwaynorman.org/DOCAgencyProject
This form opens June 1.

Please think about how many volunteers you need and the time required to complete your projects. Companies will be selecting their projects based on your numbers. We want projects to last until after lunch to respect the volunteers, many of whom are taking a day of work to participate.

Projects

Materials, Equipment & Supplies

We want volunteers to have quality experiences at the project locations. Agencies must have all the equipment and/or supplies for each project ready to go when the volunteers arrive. Some companies might be able to bring minimal things, like hammers, gloves, and paintbrushes. Or they might be able to help with specialized equipment, depending on their business, but agencies should not rely on that.

You can also check out tools from The Big Event at OU. There is a spot on your project form to request tools. *Power tools and paint are excluded*

Example items: shovels, hammers, wheelbarrows, gloves, rakes, drop cloths, paint brushes, etc.

Water

Agencies, please have water available for your volunteers.

Combined Coordinator Meeting

The Combined Coordinator Meeting allows the company and agency representatives to meet and discuss your project. Here you can work out any details you haven’t talked about yet. The meeting is on September 2, 2026 at the Sarkeys Foundation at 11:30 a.m.

We also highly recommend that the agency and company coordinator meet at the project site for a project walk-through before Day of Caring.

Shirts

We provide shirts for each person who volunteers. We ask them to wear that shirt on Day of Caring and to the kickoff. We will be taking a large group picture at the kickoff, and it looks great when everyone is in their shirt!

Agencies are provided two (2) free shirts. If your agency needs extra shirts, they are $10 each. You can order extra shirts when you fill out your project form.

Day of Caring Kickoff

The Day of Caring kickoff will be held at Life.Church at 8:00 am on September 11, 2026.  Breakfast and coffee will be provided. Please encourage your volunteers to attend, and don’t forget to wear your Day of Caring shirts. There will be a very short program to get everyone pumped up.

We’ll also give out this year’s spirit award for the company that goes all out for this year’s theme. We can't wait to see your team spirit!

Lunch

Box lunches will be provided for volunteers at their worksite courtesy of The Conference Center at NCED.  If you finish before lunch and will be going to another site to work, please stay at the original site until your lunch arrives.  If you are taking your staff off-site for lunch, we must know in advance, and so must your agency.

If your agency will provide lunch for your volunteers, please let us know so we can have an accurate count.

Bob Usry and Sons Plumbing will deliver lunches. There are a lot of sites to deliver to, so please be patient.
