Bridges Out of Poverty: Strategies for Professionals and Communities

This free workshop on October 13 from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm assists banking professionals and legal aid lawyers in gaining insight and strategies to alleviate poverty. It is a comprehensive approach to understanding poverty. Bridges Out of Poverty uses the lens of economic class and provides concrete tools and techniques for a community to alleviate poverty. Participants will review poverty research, examine a theory of change, and analyze poverty through the prism of the hidden rules of class, resources, family structure, and language. Participants will receive specific strategies for improving outcomes throughout the workshop. The workshop's focus is to provide a broad overview of concepts.
