Each year, United Way of Norman distributes free school supplies to low-income families in Norman and some surrounding communities. Around 1,000 students receive school supplies from the ABC program every year.
Pre-K through 12th grade students in Norman, Noble, Little Axe, Lexington and Robin Hill are eligible to apply for the ABC School Supply Program. However, families must meet specific income guidelines to qualify.
WHEN & WHERE
Sign up for ABC School Supplies will be July 14 - July 18 at the Bethel Baptist Multipurpose Building, 1132 McGee. Intake will take place from 9am - 1pm each day, as funds allow.
School Supply Pickup is August 9 at the Bethel Baptist Multipurpose Building from 9am to Noon. Make sure to bring your confirmation form with you.
WHAT YOU NEED
Families must bring all of the following information to the intake process in order for their application to be processed:
- Current proof of income- This includes documentation of all TANF, DHS and SSI funding, payroll, child support and/or any other sources of income.
- Current proof of residence
- Social Security cards for all family members
- Current Drivers License or Photo ID card
