Norman City Council Shows Support for United Way

Norman City Council members changed the dress code for last night’s city council meeting. Councilors wore LIVE UNITED t-shirts to show their support for the United Way of Norman and the 27 agencies that it supports.

Council members added their pledges to those of City employees, and together, the City of Norman campaign netted approximately $36,000 this year.

“City employees and our elected officials embody our theme of Live United through their service to the community and their contributions,” said Von Allen, United Way of Norman President & CEO. “We appreciate the impact that the United Way can make in our town through the generosity of City employees, the mayor and our city council members.”
