United Way Poster Contest

Your creativity could win you Apple AirPods and be displayed at 2nd Friday ArtWalk! The winning design will also be featured on the United Way of Norman’s 2022 Campaign poster. Make sure to read all the rules listed below.

Rules

Eligibility

All Norman, public and private schools, Noble, Little Axe, and Lexington schools grade 6-8.

Deadline

June 1, 2022
Posters and completed entry forms can be emailed to communications@unitedway-norman.org or submitted to the United Way of Norman office at 2424 Springer Drive, Suite 304 | Norman, OK | 73069.

Theme

Each poster should contain at least one of the following:

Requirements

Posters created by students must be their own original artwork. Copyrighted characters (such as Superman) or copyrighted clip art will not be accepted. Only one poster per student accepted.

Materials
Students may use a variety of media, such as watercolor, pen and ink, crayon, chalk, markers, photography,  etc. Brighter colors, however, reproduce better for the poster, light pencil marks will not show up.  Keep in mind these posters will be on public display and should be easy to see and read.

Size & Layout
All entries should be submitted on letter-size paper. Posters may be in landscape or portrait format.

Entry Form
An entry form must be submitted with each poster. A poster not accompanied by a completed Entry Form will not be eligible for further judging.

Judging Criteria

  1. Clear message is conveyed by the text and artwork
  2. The poster theme listed above is addressed
  3. Creativity, originality and artistic quality
  4. Visual clarity - easily read
  5. The entry form is included
  6. No copyrighted artwork, characters, or name brands are used.
