Volunteer
Volunteering fits squarely in United Way of Norman's mission to unite and focus community resources to address human needs. We hold two special volunteer-oriented events every year. In the spring, we honor our community's best volunteers at the annual Volunteer of the Year awards luncheon. In the fall, United Way of Norman hosts the annual Day of Caring. This event sends hundred of volunteers to work on service projects at local nonprofit organizations.
Alternative Spring Break is another large volunteer activity that's open to college students, but Day of Caring is the main volunteer opportunity at United Way of Norman. For other opportunties, we recommend you contact one of our funded partners to see what's available.
