2009 DAY OF CARING

In 2009 more than 330 volunteers took part in the 16th annual Day of Caring, donating time at more than 20 agencies around Norman. Projects included painting, planting, construction and many other activities.

Students, faculty and staff at the University of Oklahoma also got involved, by holding a supply drive. The OU groups gathered items requested by the agencies, such as canned food, hygiene items, toys and paper towels. Students from Moore Norman Technology Center then picked up the supplies and sorted them before angecy representatives came to pick them up.
