Alternative Spring Break
During Spring Break 2010, hundreds of young adults and student volunteers from across the United States will trade swimming trunks for tool belts and team up with United Way to make a meaningful impact in communities across the country. From continuing to rebuild the Gulf Coast after hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike, to addressing the issues plaguing urban America, volunteers will roll up their sleeves to get things done.
Several OU students have taken part in ASB, like Jaclyn Hull, who has worked through Spring Break for several years. In 2008, Jaclyn rebuilt homes in Lake Charles, La. Read more about her trip.
